It was a high scoring night inside Suncoast Credit Union Arena on Wednesday night, as La Lumiere defeated Westminster Academy, 85-82. Darius Adams led the team in scoring, with 25 points and 5 assists. Melvin Bell scored an efficient 21 points on the evening, shooting 62% from the floor and 5/8 from beyond the arc. Jalen Haralson put up 17 points, and dished 7 assists. The team was propelled by their 3 point shooting all night, including Chuck Love III who went 4/8 from three, and finished with 15 points. Next up for the Lakers in Round Two of the City of Palms Classic, will be the winner of tomorrow's game between IMG Academy (FL) and Faith Family Academy (TX). The Lakers will play the winner Friday night, with tip-off set for 8 PM CST.
