The La Lumiere School National Team went 2-0 in North Carolina this weekend, earning wins over Brewster Academy (66-58) and St. James School (83-77) to clinch a spot in the EYBL Conference Tournament beginning March 12.
In Game 1, the Lakers fell behind 12-3 in the first quarter but battled back and held the lead the rest of the way. Jonathan Sanderson and Jacob Webber each scored 18 points, while Peyton Kemp controlled both ends of the floor with 14 points, 4 rebounds, 3 assists, and 2 steals.
Game 2 was a back-and-forth battle, but La Lumiere's hot shooting and relentless rebounding allowed the Lakers to pull away in the fourth quarter and secure the win.
