La Porte, IN - After a convincing win on Friday night, the La Lumiere Lakers boys basketball National Team returned to the hardwood to battle Don Bosco in a Saturday afternoon matinee. The Lakers turned in a solid performance defeating the Dons by the score of 103-54. With the win, the Lakers remain a perfect 2-0 on the season. La Lu will return to the court on Friday afternoon when they host Indiana Elite Preparatory Academy with a tipoff slated for 7:00 PM at historic Marsh Gymnasium.
La Lumiere shot the ball very well in the win. The Lakers shot 65.2% from the field and had quality looks all afternoon. They capitalized on 74 of their 103 points in the paint. Senior point guard
Ace Buckner had himself quite a game. Battling foul trouble, Buckner finished the game with a game-high 24 points on 11-of-13 field goals.
Jalen Haralson went for 18 points in the game and pulled down six rebounds and dished out four assists. Haralson had the highlight of the game late in the fourth quarter capping off the victory with an impressive 360 slam that brought the crowd to their feet.
Jerry Easter II connected on 8-of-12 shots from the field and was in a giving mood handing out seven assists.
Darius Adams chipped in with 13 points while teammates
Chuck Love III and
Steve Solano had 10 points each.
