In a thrilling showdown at Victory Christian Academy, the La Lumiere Boys Soccer team clinched the SSAC Championship with a commanding 2-0 victory over Heritage Christian, capping off a remarkable season! With this victory, the Lakers not only secured the championship but also etched their name in history as the first team in program history to finish a season undefeated in the modern era, a remarkable achievement that will be celebrated by the entire La Lumiere community!
Senior Luca Asanaka set the tone early, converting a penalty kick that sent the Lakers up 1-0. The Lakers continued to dominate, maintaining their defensive composure while effectively transitioning to offense. Later in the half, David Wonink extended the lead, scoring a well executed goal that was set up by Fred Tran's assist. Once again, Ezra Spira delivered a spectacular performance in goal, earning his sixth shutout of the season. Congrats on a historic season, Lakers!
