Jim Kaufman, a lifelong LaPorte resident, seamlessly blends his passion for volleyball with a rich coaching history. Starting as a freshman coach in La Porte, he advanced to JV coach in Valparaiso and later became the Head Coach at Michigan City after serving as an assistant at Purdue North Central.

Beyond high school coaching, Jim has left an imprint on club volleyball, dedicating a decade to the Dunes Volleyball Club and a year to Epic United. Off the court, he relishes quality time with his wife, Jill, and their family—two daughters in Colorado, one in Westville, and another in Chesterton. When not on the sidelines, Jim focuses on crafting enduring memories with his loved ones.
