The La Lumiere Lakers Boys Tennis Team took to the road today to partake in the New Prairie Invitational, taking 3rd place.

1 singles Agustine San Miguel Gutiérrez took 1st place;

Won round one 10-8 over Michigan City

Won round two 10-3 over Hobart 

Won the championship 10-1 over Kankakee Valley.

2 singles Baruch Avendaño-Fanghälen took 7th place;

Dropped round one 4-10  

Dropped round two 2-6

Won the final round 6-1

3 singles Andriy Romanets took 7th place;

Dropped round one 2-10

Dropped round one 2-6. 

Won the final round 6-1

1 Doubles of Tyler O'Brien and Jack Venderveen took 3rd place;

Won round one 10-3 over Knox

Dropped round two 3-10 to Kankakee Valley

Avenged an early season loss in the final round 10-8 over John Glenn.

2 Doubles of Finn Craig and Vivaan Patel took 4th place;

Winning round one 10-0

Dropped round two 2-10

Dropped the final round 0-10

The Lakers will be on the road for their next match, traveling to Michigan City HS on Monday, September 8 with a start time of 4pm CT. Way to go Lakers!
